UPM Holdings - Persatuan Alumni UPM MoU Signing Ceremony
04 May 2021 – UPM Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (UPMH) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Persatuan Alumni UPM (PAUPM) to develop and expand a collaboration framework.
The major thrust of the MoU is to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between UPMH and PAUPM in various fields such as consultancy, training, and property development of assets owned by the university.
The MoU aims at value creation, not only for both parties but for UPM as a whole. This MoU will strengthen the relationship between both parties and able to capitalise on both expertise, network, and sharing of resources in creating value.
The MoU was signed by Azrul Reza Aziz, GCEO of UPMH and Ybhg. Dato Raihan Sharif, President of PAUPM, Dr. Mohd Kamil Yusoff, General Manager of UPMET and Tuan Haji Zainal Abidin Bin Yahya, Treasurer of PAMUPM as witnesses.
MTC And DHS Provides Scholarships For Youth Through Collaboration With UPM Education & Training.
17 June 2021- The Malaysian Tourism Council (MTC) and DHS Hospitality Academy Sdn. Bhd. formally collaborate by providing scholarships worth almost RM1 million for the youth. The collaboration was sealed through the signing of a virtual memorandum of understanding (MoU) between MTC Chairman, Uzaidi Udanis and DHS Director, Dr. Sri Kumar Sivakumaran.
The collaboration between MTC and DHS will create two programs, namely the ‘Malaysian Industrial Attachment’ Program with a focus on 500 B40 and M40 youths who will be fully sponsored for a year in the food service industry.
Those who complete the program will receive a hospitality operation certificate awarded by UPM Education and Training Sdn. Bhd in phase one, prior to obtaining a diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management awarded by a Singapore college, TMC Academy in phase two, allows participants to pursue degree studies in either the United Kingdom or Switzerland.
The third phase of the program includes a six -month training with full sponsorship for the first 14 participants and partial sponsorship for the next 50 participants. MTC and DHS will open applications in the near future and both programs are expected to begin looking for participants soon.
The signing ceremony of the Sheep Vaccine Commercial patent between UPM, UPM Innovations Sdn Bhd and BIO-Angle CACS Sdn Bhd (BAV)
September 24-Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) researchers successfully commercialized the STVac7 intranasal spray vaccine innovation for goats and sheep for pneumonia with a patent price of RM4 million to BIO-Angle VACS Sdn Bhd (BAV).
The signing of the transaction and sale of the three -party patent involving UPM, UPM Innovation Sdn Bhd and BAV took place in a ceremony witnessed by the Deputy Secretary General (Policy), Ministry of Higher Education, Dr Mohd Zabri Yusoff.
Also present to complete the patent sale session were UPM Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Mohd Roslan Sulaiman; Chairman of BIO-Angle VACS Sdn Bhd, Datuk Dr Mohd Daud Bakar and Group Chief Executive Officer of UPM Innovations Sdn Bhd, Azrul Reza Aziz.
The Signing Ceremony between UPM Consultancy & Services Sdn Bhd and Lotus Plantation Sdn Bhd
September 29- September 29- UPM Consultancy & Services Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of UPM Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (a company wholly owned by Universiti Putra Malaysia (“UPM”) which acts as the business arm and liaison between UPM and related markets and industries for providing consultancy services has join forces with Lotus Plantation Sdn Bhd in providing consulting services to the company.
The signing took place in a ceremony witnessed by, YBhg Dato' Sri Dr. Wee Jeck Seng, Deputy Minister together with YBhg Encik Mat Zaidi, Deputy Secretary General from the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities alongside with YB Prof. Dr. Ir. B.T. Hang Tuah Baharudin, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UPM (University Putra Malaysia).The session of signing was between Lotus Plantation Chief Executive Officer, Miss Lee Wai Fun and Group Chief Executive Officer of UPM Holdings Sdn Bhd, Mr Azrul Reza Aziz.
